Brad Pitt Loves Architecture

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt will fulfil his life-long dream of becoming an architect by designing a five-star hotel complex in Dubai. The project will be "socially conscious" and a world leader in environmental sustainability, according to the property company behind it.

The resort will comprise an 800-room luxury hotel and adjoining leisure complex, and will play host to star-studded events and awards ceremonies. Its precise location is yet to be announced. Pitt will be collaborating with an architectural firm there, Zabeel Properties, as well as the firm he currently consults with, LA-based GRAFT, to design a new hotel that will be built sustainably. Zabeel Properties is known for also being socially-responsible with its projects, considering the community's needs as well as its inhabitants seeing the development beyond the walls and through a larger lens. Lending his enthusiasm and expertise, after his experience with Make It Right which is still building homes in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, Pitt also creates added interest in any project he throws himself into. The primary fixture of this development project will be an 800-room five-star hotel with American themes and an environmentally-friendly structure

"We will be unveiling precise plans in the next few months, but you can expect something that is not only stunning to look at, but will also be an incredible attraction to visit or stay at."

The Oscar-nominated star has a long-standing interest in architecture and is currently helping to build 150 homes in the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans, an area devastated by Hurricane Katrina.

He has said previously: "I'm really into architecture, structure and design. Give me anything and I'll design it. I'm a bit nutty with it."
